CNS tasks military officers to strive for excellence

The Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, has charged participants of Junior Course 99 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) to always strive for excellence.
Ogalla gave the charge at the Regimental Dinner Night in honour of the course participants held at the AFCSC in Jaji, Kaduna State.
The dinner provided an opportunity for the course participants to interact and unwind after weeks of rigorous military and leadership training at the college.
Ogalla, represented by Real Admiral Clement Atebi, Chief of Training, Naval Headquarters, recognised the efforts of the Commandant and staff of the college in training and developing officers of the Nigeria Armed Forces.
The CNS said having completed the course, the officers are now well equipped with the requisite skills and knowledge to operate effectively as staff officers and junior commanders in their respective services.
“The appellation ‘Passed Junior Staff Course’ anywhere in the world, confers much responsibility on you in terms of the desired quality and output quantum of your field and staff work.
“Let me commend the impressive efforts of the college for creating an ideal regimental setting for these graduands after rigorous weeks of training.
“I am congratulating the commandant, the Principal Staff Officers and the entire staff of the college for their relentless efforts in turning out yet another set of highly qualified and skilled officers including international as well as non-military students,” the CNS said.
