Kebbi Governor directs payment of 20 years accumulated entitlements of ex-coucillors
Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has ordered the payment of 20 years accumulated entitlements of ex-coucillors who served from 2004-2024, totaling N2.185 billion.
A statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ahmed Idris on Thursday, said the directive was given when the leadership of Kebbi State Councillors’ Forum paid him a courtesy visit at Government House, Birnin Kebbi.
The governor, who also assured them of necessary support, said part payment of the money must be completed by tomorrow, while the balance should be paid by the end of July.
The Chairman of the forum, Hon. Bello M. Gulumbe appreciated the governor for responding to their plea which successive administrations had ignored.
He pledged the total support of the ex-coucillors to the administration in its quest to deliver on its mandate.
