The World Food PProgramme (WFP) said on Monday that 2.2 million people in the Gaza Strip are still in dire need of urgent aid after 11 months of the Israeli war on the besieged enclave.
It added in a statement on X that the repeated Israeli evacuation orders were impeding its efforts in extending aid to the people of Gaza.
The WFP said that the need for food and other aid materials is increasing, but the Israeli forced displacement of the people in the Strip was hindering efforts in this regard.
“We need a ceasefire now,” it concluded.
