30 graves, shrine discovered in Anambra hotel 

A popular hotel in which 30 graves and a shrine were uncovered in Anambra has been demolished by the state government.

The hotel, located in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area, was located by operatives of the newly launched security outfit, Agunechemba, on Saturday following a tip-off from a good Samaritan.

Videos of the hotel premises captured by the operatives had gone viral on the social media showing the graves and shrine within the hotel premises.

Mr Ejimofor Opara, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Governor Chukwuma Soludo confirmed the demolition of the hotel.

He explained that the demolishing was in line with the Anambra State Homeland Security Law.

“The demolition of a kidnappers’ den disguised as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also known as ‘La Cruise Hotel’, along Onitsha-Owerri Road, is underway,” he said, posting videos of the demolition.

There has been no statement from the police on the matter.
