How Senator Ndume Is Tackling Dilapidated Roads In Southern Borno

In a bid to address the pressing issue of dilapidated roads in Borno South, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume has taken proactive steps to facilitate the construction of crucial road infrastructure across the area.
Among the key projects is the revitalization of the Izge – Yinagu-Butuku roads, spanning a significant fourteen kilometers, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture.
The Izge – Yinagu-Butuku road network serves as a vital lifeline for residents of Borno and the neighboring state of Adamawa, serving as a vital link to Madagali-Michika corridor.
Its strategic importance cannot be overstated, as it plays crucial role in fostering social and economic growth within the region.
During his last visit to Izge, Senator Ndume reaffirmed his commitment to prioritizing the rehabilitation of critical roads, acknowledging their significance to local communities and the broader state.
His promise to address the longstanding issues plaguing these roads has now materialized into action, with construction work officially commencing.
To facilitate more action, Senator Ndume has been actively engaging relevant stakeholders to address the broader infrastructure challenges facing Borno South.
Just yesterday, he met with the Minister of Works to discuss the deplorable conditions of other vital routes such as the Pulka-Gwoza-Limankara and Biu-Gombe roads.
Furthermore, the Senator alongside his colleagues, Barr MT Monguno and Barr Kakashehu Lawan, are slated to further engage with the Minister of Works to accelerate progress on various road constructions and rehabilitation across Borno South.
Their collective efforts signify a concerted commitment to enhancing transportation infrastructure and fostering socio-economic development within the region.
