6 killed in Qatar’s military helicopter crash

By Editor
Qatar’s Ministry of Interior says six people were killed when a military helicopter crashed in the country’s territorial waters.
The ministry said in a statement on X that search and rescue teams had recovered six of the seven people on board, all of whom were confirmed dead. Teams continue intensive operations to locate the remaining crew member.
Earlier on Sunday, Qatar’s Ministry of Defense said the helicopter, part of the armed forces, suffered a technical malfunction during a routine mission, causing it to crash.
The incident comes amid heightened regional tensions, with several countries in the Gulf reporting missile and drone attacks from Iran since Feb. 28 that have caused casualties and damage to infrastructure.
