He said women are in dire need of critical services including access to education and healthcare to improve their social and economical lives.
“I join the women in Nigeria and beyond to commemorate the International Women’s Day. As a family man and politician, I acknowledge the modern challenges faced by our mothers and sisters.
“I call for increased commitment at all levels to improve their lives especially through education and healthcare.”
Lamido congratulated women in Jigawa state and Nigeria for celebrating the day and enjoined them to be courageous and strive to overcome all challenges to better their lives.
