Drama as teenager climbs billboard in Kano
A drama unfolded in Kano on Monday when a teenager climbed a tall billboard near Gadar Lado bridge at the entrance of the ancient city, for an undisclosed reason.
The teenager, aged between 16 and 17 years, refused to get down in spite of numerous appeals by dozens of unlookers, who were attracted to the scene.
However, a rescue operation, involving federal and state fire service teams, as well as other security agencies saved his life as he was brought down safely.
The teenager was shaken was immediately taken to a hospital for necessary medical attention.
The motivation behind his actions were unclear. However, the incident highlighted the desperation and frustration that some individuals may feel, leading them to take drastic measures.
