Buhari’s Family Return To Kaduna Two Weeks After Death of Former President
The family of late President Muhammadu Buhari have returned to Kaduna two weeks after the death of the former Nigerian leader.
Buhari who died in a London hospital on July 13, was buried in his home town Daura, Katsina State, two days after his demise.
The family has been receiving sympathisers in Daura since the late President passed away, the latest being Gambian President Adama Barrow, who paid them a condolence visit on Friday.
Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe led the state government delegation to welcome the family when they landed at the Kaduna International Airport on Sunday.
Dr. Balarabe was joined by the Majority Leader of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Munira Suleiman Tanimu, along with other senior government officials, who accompanied the former First Lady, A’isha Buhari and members of the Buhari family to their residence.
The Syndicate reports that prayers were offered for Buhari who served twice as Nigerian leader from 1984 to 1985 as military ruler, and from 2015 to 2023 when he served two terms of four years each as democratically elected president.
