FG Earmarks N1bn To Begin Construction of Police Training School In Jigawa

The Federal Government has approved the construction of a police training school in Jigawa State, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Police Affairs, Senator Abdulhamid Ahmed Malam Madori said on Monday.
According to him, N1 billion has been provided in the 2025 budget for the commencement of the project.
The Senator, who made this known during a Citizen Engagement Programme organised by Jigawa State Government, said the police training school will be sited in Kafin Hausa.
He said that the approval for the school was part of ongoing efforts by the Federal Government to provide well-trained police personnel to enhance national security.
The senator, who represents Jigawa Southeast senatorial district, said he sponsored the motion for the construction of the police training school in Kafin Hausa, which was passed by the Senate.
Malam Madori said he has donated a new Toyota Hilux van to the police divisional headquarters in Kafin Hausa, in addition to the renovation and furnishing of the office and barrack to motivate the personnel.
He said over 8, 000 people in Kafin Hausa local government area have benefited from his empowerment programmes, in addition to the donation of N5 million for the completion of the central mosque in the local government headquarters.
The senator expressed gratitude to the people of Kafin Hausa for the warm reception during the visit and their participation and contribution during the engagement forum.
