Hisbah arrests 26 suspects for alleged in immoral activities in Kano
The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested 26 suspects for allegedly engaging in immoral activities at the Grace Palace Hotel near Bukabu Barrack in Kano.
The board’s Deputy Commander General, Dr. Mujahid Aminuddeen, said this when he spoke with newsmen in Kano on Monday, saying that the suspects were arrested in a raid on Saturday, following multiple complaints from concerned members of the public.
Aminuddeen said that the suspects included 14 females and 12 males, adding that most of the suspects were in state of intoxicating during the raid saying several cartons of assorted alcoholic beverages were confiscated at the scene.
“The 26 persons were arrested during an operation at Grace Palace Hotel near Bukabu Barrack in Kano. We appreciate the support of the military authorities and their commander for the cooperation that made the operation successful,” he said.
Aminuddeen urged residents to continue reporting such activities, whether in hotels or residential areas, for imely intervention.
He also stressed that the operation was part of an ongoing effort by the board to curb immoral activities and uphold public decency across the state.
