APC support group wants party to discipline factions emerging in Jigawa

A coalition of All Progressive Congress (APC) support groups has urged the national leadership of the party to take disciplinary action against those promoting factions in Jigawa State.
The coalition said the recent skirmishes between members of the APC in Kafin Hausa local government area of the state should not be allowed to repeat itself.
The Chairman of the coalition, Engr Saidu Ibrahim Uba addressed newsen in Dutse, the state capital, on the matter.
The coaltion said that the situation was grave and should be treated with great care as it is threatening “the peace, unity, and cohesion of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly in Jigawa State”.
It therefore urged the national leadership to immediately investigate the matter before it leads to public unrest, disunity, and embarrassment to the party.
“We urge the party to reinforce internal discipline and loyalty, and reaffirm the supremacy of party structures and leadership, especially at the state level,” the coalition said.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) stands for discipline, integrity, and unity. It is unacceptable that individuals occupying positions of national responsibility will engage in acts that not only divide us but endanger peace and progress.
“We remain loyal to the leadership of the party at all levels and stand firmly behind His Excellency, Governor Umar Namadi, whose developmental strides and inclusive governance continue to uplift Jigawa State.
“We trust that the party will act swiftly and decisively in the interest of justice, peace, and party supremacy”.
