Corps Marshal Juggles Top Commanders To Enhance Service Delivery
The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has approved the posting of some top commanders to strategic portfolios to enhance road safety management in the country.
The deployment was announced in a statement by Olusegun Ogungbemide, the Corps Public Education Officer on Sunday in Abuja.
The Corps Marshal said the redeployments are part of efforts to reinvigorate the operations of the Corps and strengthen institutional capacity at both command and support levels.
Those affected include ACM G. Ntukidem, the ACM Personnel who was appointed as the new Corps Secretary, ACM J.W. Toby moves from Policy Research and Statistics Department to Osogbo as Zonal Commanding Officer (ZCO), RS11, while ACM I. Abubakar, the ZCO RS11HQ Osogbo, now takes over as ACM Policy at the national headquarters.
In the same vein, ACM A.M. Hassan in charge of Manpower Development in the Department of Training, now heads the Technical Service Department, while ACM A. Sanusi, who just concluded a course at the National Defence College, resumes as ACM Manpower Development.
The posting also affected several Sector Commanders in Benue, Anambra, Delta, Abia State, Kebbi, Kogi, Anambra, Bauchi and Yobe Sector Commands.
Similarly, a total of 61 other Corps Commanders were redeployed across key formations at the FRSC National Headquarters, the Academy, Zonal Commands, and special units nationwide.
“Their postings cover critical areas such as Operations, Policy, Administration, Logistics, Training, Data Management, Research, Establishment, and Medical Services, reflecting the Corps’ resolve to strengthen institutional capacity at both command and support levels.
“The Corps Marshal emphasised that the redeployment exercise is aimed at ensuring greater efficiency and improved service delivery, stressing that the newly appointed officers are expected to bring fresh vigour to the operations of the Corps in line with its mandate of safer roads and fuller compliance with traffic regulations.
“He urged the officers to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Management of the Corps, while calling on the motoring public to cooperate with the new appointees to sustain the drive towards safer highways across the country,” the statement added.
