Kano NSCDC Commandant directs 24-hour patrols on national assets
The new Kano Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Malam Bala Bodinga, has directed round-the-clock patrols to protect important national assets and infrastructure across all 44 Local Government Areas of the state.
Bodinga gave the directive after assuming office as the new head of the NSCDC in the state.
This is contained in a statement issued by the spokesperson for the command, Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi on Tuesday in Kano.
“Upon assumption of office as the newly posted state Commandant, Comdt Bala Bodinga tasked officers and men to rededicate themselves to the pivotal task of securing the nation’s critical assets and infrastructure.
“The state commandant directed that henceforth, midnight and 24-hour patrols and surveillance must be carried out by operatives of the Corps to ward off vandals and other criminal elements in every part of the state,” he said.
Bodinga, born on February 7, 1973, hailed from Sokoto State. Before his posting to Kano, he held key positions in different NSCDC formations across the country and took part in several joint operations.
