2027: ADC Directs Members In Other Political Parties To Resign

 

The coalition seeking to unseat President Bola Tinubu has finally settled for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and directed its members in other political parties to resign.The coalition disassociated itself from the yet to be registered All Democratic Alliance (ADA).According to Bolaji Abdullahi, National Publicity Secretary of the coalition, this was part of the resolution of party leaders at a meeting in Abuja on Thursday.

Prominent members the coalition in other political parties include Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Nasir El-Rufai of Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Senator Aminu Tambuwal of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Abdullahi said, “The Coalition has rested everything concerning the ADA. That means, they are not interested in the registration or otherwise of the association.”

On the forthcoming 2027 election, Abdullahi said the party’s leading members have agreed to support anyone who wins the presidential primaries.

He said that the ADC National Working Committee would announce dates for primaries in Osun and Ekiti ahead of the off-cycle governorship elections in the two states.
