BREAKING: Education Minister Disowns Circular On JAMB
Minister of Education, Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa has dismissed as fake, a circular purportedly from the ministry, which claimed that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) would no longer coordinate admissions to tertiary institutions.
The minister said on Thursday in a statement that the claim was “false, baseless and did not emanate from the Ministry of Education”.
“For the avoidance of doubt, JAMB remains the statutory and legally empowered body for conducting entrance examinations and coordinating admissions into all tertiary institutions in Nigeria. The established admission processes through JAMB remain fully operational, and any contrary information should be disregarded inits entirety,” the minister said in a statement issued by the ministry’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Boriowo Folasade.
He advised students, parents, and all stakeholders to disregard the false publication.
