FAAC: FG Pockets N711.314bn, States Share N727.170bn  September Allocations

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared N2.103 trillion revenue realised in September to the federal government, the 36 states and the 774 local government areas in the country.

 

The money was distributed during the October FAAC meeting held in Abuja on Friday.

 

From the N2.103 trillion total distributable revenue, the Federal Government received N711.314 billion, 36 states shared N727.170 billion, 774 local councils got N529.954 billion, and N134.956 billion went to benefiting states as 13% mineral derivation revenue.

 

According to a statement issued by Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, the N2.103 trillion total distributable revenue comprised of statutory revenue of N1.239 trillion; Value Added Tax (VAT) of N812.593 billion, and N51.684 billion electronic money transfer levy.

 

Although N3.054 trillion revenue was collected during the month, total deduction for cost of collections by the revenue generating agencies was N116.149 billion while total transfers, interventions, refunds and savings took N835.005 billion.

 

Even so, the statement issued by the Director of information OAGF, Bawa Mokwa, said the September gross statutory revenue of N2.128 trillion was lower than the N2.838 trillion raised in August 2025 by N710.134 billion.

 

A total of N872.630 billion was collected from VAT in September 2025, higher than the N722.619 billion in August.

 

A breakdown of the distributable revenue showed that from  N1.239 trillion distributable statutory revenue, federal government received N581.672 billion, states got N295.032 billion, LGAs, N227.457 billion, and N134.956 billion shared as 13% derivation to benefiting states.

 

From the N812.593 billion distributable VAT revenue, Federal Government received N121.889 billion, states N406.297 billion, and LGAs N284.408 billion.

 

A total sum of N7.753 billion was received by the Federal Government from the N51.684 billion electronic transfer levy, the state governments, N25.842 billion, and LGAs, N18.089 billion.
