BREAKING: Bandits abduct many, burn 2 vehicles along Kontagora-Bangi road in Niger State
Bandits have burned two vehicles in Kontagora area of Niger state on Saturday afternoon and abducted many people.
Reports from the area cautioned motorists to avoid Kontagora-Bangi road, indicating that the criminals are operating around Magama, Hausawa da Baturen Noma communities.
The attack is coming few hours after thousands of Kontagora resident converged to pray for an end to the activities of the criminal gangs in the area.
The central area of Niger state is a hot bed of bandits and terrorists who are raiding local communities daily and in broad daylight, killing and abducting residents and forcing many out of their villages.
