Governor Alia Approves Construction of Vital Bridge in Mbayegh/Mbaikyer Community

Governor Hyacinth Alia has approved the construction of Ujima bridge in Mbayegh/Mbaiker community in Konshisha Local Government Area, which is expected to boost socio-economic activities in the area.
According to Engr. Mlumun Ikpaahindi, the Technical Adviser to the Governor on Infrastructure, the project is being executed through the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP).
In an interview with newsmen, the Technical Adviser thanked the Governor for the approval to construct the Ujima bridge.
“I facilitated a bridge through The Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) and it was approved by the governor, The contractor resumed to site today and we have introduced them to the community members before work commence.
“I want to, on behalf of the entire community heartily thank our Governor for this wonderful dividends of democracy, and also want to extend our thanks to the State Project Coordinator RAAMP, Hon. Stephen Numbeve” she said.

She thanked the governor for opening up rural areas to enhance economic activities, adding that the government has been transforming Benue State.
Engr Ikpaahindi urged the community members to protect the workers and their equipment to ensure timely completion of the bridge, which will help the movement of farm produce and boost socio-economic activities.
The Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) is a Federal Government agency involved in the provision of infrastructure to link rural communities with markets.
