Communities in Buji Local Government Area of Jigawa State have commended Governor Umar Namadi for the inclusion of major infrastructural projects for the area in the 2026 budget.

This commendation was contained in a statement signed and made available to The Syndicate in Dutse by the Executive Chairman of the council, Arch. Najibullah Falalu Tukur.

Tukur, who spoke on behalf of the government and people of Buji LGA, expressed profound appreciation to Governor Namadi for presenting what he described as a people-focused budget that captures the needs of rural communities.

He said the inclusion of the Gantsa Township Road and the Buji Township Road, among others, demonstrates the administration’s commitment to equitable development across the state.

The chairman further disclosed that the proposed Kawaya–Unguwar Maina Road project, also in Buji LGA, will have far-reaching impact on the socioeconomic growth of the area.

According to him, the road projects will not only enhance connectivity and ease movement but will equally stimulate economic activities, improve security presence, and uplift the general infrastructural outlook of the local government.

Tukur noted that Governor Namadi’s focus on balanced development continues to inspire hope and confidence among residents of Buji and other communities.

“We remain grateful for your leadership and continuous support to Buji Local Government Area,” he added.

Governor Namadi had earlier presented a 2026 budget proposal of over N904 billion to the Jigawa State House of Assembly.

In the appropriation bill, the governor allocated N186.37 billion to Roads and Transport Development, signalling a continued push for infrastructure expansion across the state.
