Dutse Municipal Council Engages 110 New Teachers

The Dutse Municipal Council in Jigawa State has recruited 110 temporary teachers to strengthen teaching and learning in primary and junior secondary schools in the area.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Special Adviser to the Council Chairman on Media and Publicity, Abdulrazak Adamu Dutse.
According to him, those engaged were under the D-Teach programme of the state government and reflects the commitment of the Council Chairman, Dr. Sibu Abdullahi, to improve educational standards across the municipality.
He added that the action of the Chairman, who also serves as the Jigawa State Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), was to ensure that schools in the area are adequately staffed with competent personnel capable of delivering quality learning.
“The action is part of the Dutse Municipal Council Chairman’s sustained interest in the educational development of the area and the state at large,” the statement added.
