Tinubu Support Group Appoints Ex-Reps Member Da’u-Aliyu As Deputy DG

The Tinubu Support Group (TSG) has appointed a former member of the House of Representatives, Engr. Magaji Da’u-Aliyu as its Deputy Director General, North.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Director-General of the group, Dr. Umar Tanko Yakasai, and obtained by The Syndicate in Dutse.
It said the appointment reflects Da’u-Aliyu’s “proven capacity for leadership, deep grassroots reach, and long-standing commitment to national development and democratic governance.”
According to the statement, Da’u-Aliyu was chosen strictly on merit, citing his significant contributions in Nigeria’s political landscape.
“A seasoned political figure with decades of public service experience, Hon. Magaji Da’u Aliyu commands respect across party lines.
“He is known for strategic leadership, strong administrative competence, and consistent advocacy for reforms that directly impact citizens’ welfare,” the statement added.
Da’u-Aliyu served two consecutive terms in the House of Representatives, representing Birnin Kudu/Buji Federal Constituency of Jigawa State, and was one of the most influential lawmakers in the 9th Assembly, because of his passion for effective governance and national progress.
As Chairman of the House Committee on Power from 2019 to 2023), he provided direction in one of Nigeria’s most challenging sectors through oversight activities, convening critical stakeholder meetings, and championing interventions aimed at strengthening electricity generation, transmission, and distribution nationwide.
Beyond the power sector, Da’u-Aliyu played active roles in legislative debates, national policy reviews, constituency development, and political mobilization.
He is widely acknowledged for building consensus among diverse stakeholders and maintaining strong grassroots connections.
