Former Niger Deputy Governor Denies Defecting To ADC
A former Deputy Governor of Niger State, Ahmed Mohammed Ketso has denied reports of his defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
A statement Thursday by his media aide, Habibu A Wushishi, dismissed the report as mischievous and a political blackmail to tarnish Ketso’s image.
“At no time has Ketso defected to ADC, there is no reason for his defection and he has no reason whatsoever to embark on such a miscalculated mission.
“Ketso doesn’t destroy what he had helped to build, he is and remains a patient, peaceful, committed and law abiding member of the All Progressives Congress from its inception as CPC before the merger in 2013 which gave birth to APC and has just revalidated his membership through the e-registration procedure of the party.
“As someone who enjoys tremendous goodwill, support and cooperation from allies, friends and well wishers and is considered as critical stakeholder of the APC, defecting from the party is tantamount to betrayal, trachery, perfidy, backstabbing, infidelity and faithlesness to the party that has made him,” the statement added.
It stressed that Ketso is not a political prostitute, a defector nor a mole, and urged his supporters, associates and friends to disregard “the political blackmail”.
“His support for President Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the Governor of Niger State Farmer Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago and all other APC leaders remains sacrosanct now and in the future.”
