Gov. Namadi Champions Education Equity Through JigawaUNITE
The Jigawa State Government, under the leadership of Umar Namadi, continues to make a deliberate and strategic investment in the future of its children through JigawaUNITE, a flagship education transformation initiative championed by the Governor to strengthen learning outcomes and expand access to quality education across the state.
As part of this effort, learning materials have been distributed to 250 public primary schools across 20 Local Government Areas, ensuring that thousands of pupils, particularly those in underserved communities, have access to essential educational resources regardless of location or background.
On January 17, 2026, the JigawaUNITE implementation team was on ground at Ansaruddeen Primary School in Kiyawa Local Government Area, where additional books were distributed directly to pupils. The activity reinforced the administration’s commitment to inclusive, child-centred education and to putting practical learning tools into the hands of learners.
The distribution is being implemented by the Jigawa State Government in collaboration with the Jigawa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), under the leadership of its Chairman, Haruna Musa, alongside the JigawaUNITE implementation team. This coordinated approach reflects strong governance, effective institutional leadership, and a shared commitment to education reform.
For the children of Jigawa State, this initiative represents more than the distribution of books. It is an investment in literacy, a commitment to quality basic education, and a clear statement that no child will be left behind.
Through JigawaUNITE, Governor Namadi reaffirms his administration’s resolve to support schools, empower learners, and build sustainable systems that will deliver lasting improvements in education outcomes across Jigawa State.
