The Chairman of North Central Development Commission, NCDC, Barr. Cosmas Akighir has charged Ward Chairmen and other officials to intensify mobilization for the massive turn-up of APC members for the ongoing E-registration exercise in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State.

Applauding the initial commitment of the ward executives, which he said, has yielded good results, the NCDC Boss charged them to do more.

He said that this was necessary to protect the interests of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen.  George Akume, given the confidence in him by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Akighir made the appeal when he hosted ward Chairmen from across the 17 Council wards in Gboko Local Government Area on January 24, during which he offered a huge financial assistance in support of the ongoing APC membership E-registration.

In his remarks, the Chairman of APC in Gboko LGA, Hon. Basil Yina applauded the NCDC Chairman for remaining supportive to the party even before his new appointment to chair the commission and prayed God to elevate him to higher offices in order to provide more dividends of democracy to his people.

Mr Yina also lauded other stakeholders, including Hon. Mrs. Becky Orpin, Hon. Engr. Begha Nyamkume, Rep. Mrs. Regina Akume for their invaluable support to the ongoing exercise.

Akighir later inspected the Gboko E-Registration situation report room, where he also renewed his membership of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Gboko South ward.
