NEAZDP Distributes Food Items to Vulnerable Families in Yobe

The Northeast Arid Zone Development Programme (NEAZDP) has distributed food items to vulnerable people in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State, on Thursday.
Speaking during the exercise, the NEAZDP Programme Manager, Dr. Mulima Idi Mato, explained that the support was made possible through collaboration with Yobe State Government under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni.
Dr. Mulima, who described the governor as a people-oriented and compassionate leader. stated that NEAZDP had implemented similar humanitarian interventions in the past, but was stalled for some time due to some reasons.
He however said that the impactful initiative has been revived and strengthened through the visionary leadership and renewed commitment of Governor Buni.
The Programme Manager added that the intervention is not limited to one area, as it is intended to reach vulnerable families cross the nine local government areas under NEAZDP’s coverage.
Some of the beneficiaries said the gesture reflects the Governor’s genuine concern for the welfare of the less privileged and showcases the dedication, competence, and humanitarian spirit of Dr. Mulima Idi Mato, whose leadership continues to bring meaningful relief and hope to the people.
