Mother of 5 dies in lover’s room in Sabon Gari, Kano

A married woman, simply identified as Sandra, has died after visiting her lover’s room in Sabon Gari in Kano State.
Sandra, a mother of five, who hailed from Abia State, was found unconscious on her lover’s bed at No 47 Aitken Road, Sabon Gari at the weekend.
Neighbours claimed she had asked for food shortly before her death, and her friend, Lucky Isuma (aged 41), had gone out to get some when she passed away.
Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed the incident. He said a 22-year-old neighbour, Chidera Nwobi, reported the matter at Sabon Gari Police Division, after discovering the woman unconscious.
Kiyawa said police detectives were immediately deployed to the scene.
“No visible marks of violence were observed on her body. She was rushed to Muhammadu Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital, where a medical doctor confirmed her dead.
“The suspect, Lucky Isuma, has been arrested and the case transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, has assured the public that a thorough probe would be conducted and the outcome made public in due course,” he said.
Kiyawa said an autopsy might be performed to determine the cause of death.
