Elkanemi Wallop Abia Warriors to Win President Federation Cup
Elkanemi Warriors Fc of Maiduguri has won the 2024 President Federation Cup with an emphatic 2-0 goals against Abia Warriors.
The finals was played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on Saturday.
Elkanemi warriors Nasiru Salihu who blew away a penalty kick in the 14 minute, made up for the miss when he fired the opener for the Maiduguri team 30 minutes into the first-half.
The warriors maintained dominance in the second half to keep the Abia side at bay.
Nasiru Salihu struck again in the 71 minutes after an inter play between Gimba Ajiji and Jocob Jonathan to score the winner for Elkanemi warriors.
The victory is a triple victory for the Maiduguri team which got promoted to the premiership, and earned a continental ticket for winning the Federation cup.
