Lamine’s wonder goal push Spain to  Euro 2024 final

Spain 1

Lamine Yamal scored wonder goal for Spain as the country qualified for the final of Euro 2024 in Germany after defeating France 2-1 on Tuesday.

France opened the scoring nine minutes into the match when Randal Kolo Muani buried a close-range header in the right side of the goal after a good run and cross by Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe missed a chance for France in the 19th minute when his shot was charged down by a defender.

Two minutes later, Spain equalised when 16-year-old Yamal unleashed a powerful precise shot from long distance which glanced off the post into the top left corner, leaving the French goalkeeper beaten.

Spain scored their second goal in the 25th minute after Dani Olmo jinked his way through multiple challenges with superb quick feet and dribbling, and took a shot from inside the box which was deflected past stranded Mike Maignan.

In the 60th minute, Ousmane Dembele played a pass into the box, but Unai Simon reacted well to snuff out the attack.

Four minutes later, Dayot Upamecano reacted well and displayed good awareness inside the box to get on the end of the resulting corner kick, but failed to direct the ball into the net as it flew narrowly wide of the right post.

In the 81st minute, Yamal jinked his way again past two defenders and from the edge of the box had an effort went just over the bar, while in the 86th minute, Mbappe sent a poor shot well over the crossbar when he burst into the box with just the keeper to beat.
