Flood was also reported in Dange-Shuni Local Government Area of the state, where emergency officials are taking the tally of those affected and properties destroyed.
According to Mustapha Umar, Director Relief and Rehabilitation in the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), many houses and farmlands were also submerged.
He said apart from the 1,700 people affected in Gada LGA, about 600 hectares of farmland were submerged, and many farms, animals and foodstuffs washed away.
Mustapha said they were still assessing the situation in Dange-Shuni in order to ascertain the number of residents affected and the level of damage done by the disaster.
