‘The suffering is too much’, says Kano lone protester

An elderly protester has hit the streets of Kano with placards deficting the socio-economic challenges Nigerians are going through.

The man was seen along Farwa-Mariri axis on Maiduguri highway on the first day of the 10 days nationwide protests against hunger and bad governance. 

“The suffering is too much; we must register our grievances. It’s our right to do so,” the lone protester said.

Major streets in Kano were empty in the early hours of Thursday, but security personnel including the police and civil defence have been deployed to strategic locations ìn the ancient city.
