The two were received into the APC by Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, on Monday in Abuja.

Dambo was on August 13, appointed by Governor Abba Yusuf as Chairman of the state revenue service.

Announcing his exit from the NNPP, Dambo pledged to work for the APC in Kano and at the national level.

“I thank Almighty God for guiding and allowing me to return to our home. I belonged to this house before I joined the NNPP, but now I am back in the APC.

“We will continue to support this journey and remain committed and loyal to the APC in Kano and at the national level.

“I will use all my talents and expertise to work for the success of APC. I wish Senator Barau all the best. I also send my regards to the National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. May Almighty Allah continue to bless and guide them all,” he said.

Durum also pledged to work for the success of APC in Kano State and Nigeria as a whole.

Welcoming the two grassroots politicians to the APC, the Deputy President of the Senate commended them for the decision, and reiterated the commitment of the APC-led Federal Government to address the challenges facing the country.

“These distinguished individuals have demonstrated their determination and dedication to the progress of our state and nation. Their commitment aligns with the APC’s core values and principles – the country’s transformation.

“We will work with them and all those who are genuinely committed to the transformation of our country in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Let’s work together to address the challenges facing us as a nation,” he said.
