Principal Commends Gov. Buni Over School Renovation

The Principal Government Day Secondary School Gashu’a, Malam Musa Bulama Jawi, has commended Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State for the quality and standard of  renovation of the school’s infrastructure.

The principal made the commendation in an interview with journalists who were on tour of projects undertaken by the governor in the education sector.

According to the principal, renovation of public schools has enhanced the enrollment of students across the state.

“It has attracted the attention of parents send their children to school.

“If you see the number of enrollment this year, at least it’s far better than last year and the subsequent years,” the principal said.

He said that the provision of standard and conducive learning environment is one of the criteria for imparting quality and qualitative education.

Similarly, Malam Usman Mohammed of Higher Islamic College Nguru, Hasibullah Jogi of Nigerian Turkish International College in Mamudo and Ladi Ishaku Ghali of GGC Damaturu,appreciated Yobe state government for the schools’ renovation.

They appealed to the government to provide modern equipments, perimeter fence and additional boreholes to the schools.

Speaking with the journalists, the Secretary to the State Government, Baba Mallam Wali said Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration is trying to provide conducive teaching and learning environment in all public schools to boost enrollment and learning outcome in the state.

The Syndicate reports that the media team also inspected projectd in Government Higher Islamic College Nguru, Government Day Secondary School Gashu’a, Nigerian Turkish International College Mamudo, GGC, GSS Damaturu, GGSS Ngelzarma and Gov’t Science Technical, Damagum.

The projects include total renovation of classrooms, administrative blocks, hostels, halls, laboratories, and the construction of new hostels.
