Anambra Governorship Election: Soldudo Returns, Wins 70.65% Votes

Governor Chukwuma Soldudo has been reelected as the Governor of Anambra State, winning a massive 70.65% of the total votes cast.

Soludo trounced 15 candidates of various political parties who  contested in the governorship election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof. Edogah Omoregie, made the declaration at the commission’s headquarters in Awka on Sunday.

The incumbent governor, who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) polled 422,664 votes to emerge winner, with his closest rival, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), a distant second with 99,445 votes.
