Bandits Kill 20, Abduct 5 In Katsina
Bandits have reportedly killed 10 farmers and abducted five others while working on their farms in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Among those killed was a community watch volunteer, while several cows being used to till the land were rustled.
The victims were from Yargoje, Kwakware, Danmarke, Gidan Dawa and Burdugau villages.
“They killed 20 farmers, abducted some and took away the cows being used on the farms,” a source said, adding that the incident occurred on Monday.
Kankara is among the 11 frontline local government areas facing sustained bandits attacks in Katsina State.
