Bandits kill 5, injure 4 in Malumfashi LGA, Katsina State
Bandits on Saturday night attacked two communities in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State, killing five people.
The bandits in their numbers attacked Ruwan Sanyi and Yar Tsakuwa villages at about 11:30 pm, killing the five residents and injuring four others.
It was not clear whether anyone was abducted, but those injured have been evacuated to hospitals for medical attention.
There has been no official response to the incident, but the member representing Malumfashi/Kafur Federal Constituency, Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim, has commiserate with the community over the incident
He prayed for the repose of the souls of those who died and quick recovery of those injured. The lawmaker pledged to push for more security presence in the area.
The Syndicate reports that Malumfashi local government has been recording daily attacks, killings and abductions, with residents left to confront the growing bandits attacks.
