Bandits Kill 9, Set Ablaze Farms, Houses In Zamfara
Bandits on Sunday attacked Gangara and Tsagero communities in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara, killing nine people.
The bandits also set ablaze farms and houses during the attack.
Residents said that troops had earlier laid ambush for the bandits killing many of them, but they later regrouped in hundreds and attacked the communities in retaliation.
Residents said three people were killed in Gangara and six in Tsagero Suka k’she Mutum 6, before setting ablaze farms and houses and a fully loaded truck.
There has been no official reaction yet on the attack.
