Bandits Release Katsina Couple After Payment of N50m Ransom
A businessman, Anas Ahmadu, who was abducted in Katsina together with his pregnant wife and 2-year-old daughter on August 26, has been released after the payment of N50 million ransom.
They were picked from their home in Filin Canada Quarters, Katsina at about 3:00 a.m, on August 26, 2025. A vigilante member who rushed to intervene, Abdullahi Muhammad, 25, was shot dead.
The spokesman for the state police command, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, had at the time of the abduction said they had launched an investigation to track and arrest the perpetrators.
