Bello Assumes Duty As Katsina’s 26th Commissioner of Police
The newly posted Commissioner of Police for Katsina State, Bello Shehu, assumed duty on Friday with a pledge to enhance peace and security in the state.
A statement by the command’s spokesman, DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu said that the Commissioner has sought for support from all and sundry in the state in the course of the discharge of his duties.
He further emphasised his commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all and pledged to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to bring down crime rate to the barest minimum in the state.
Bello, who assumed duty as the 26th Commissioner of Police in Katsina State, hails from Dukku LGA, Gombe State.
A seasoned police officer with over three decades of experience, Bello had worked as Divisional Police Officer in Charanchi and Faskari, and as Assistant Commissioner of Police, in charge of Criminal Investigation and later Department of Operation, Katsina State Command, among others.
