The Benue State Government has sealed Oracle Business Limited and its subsidiaries over N130 million unpaid tax.

According to the Benue State Internal Revenue Service (BIRS), the company has not paid tax in the last five years.

The BIRS acting Chairman, Mr Sunday Odagba, said the sealing of the company, which belongs to former governor Samuel Ortom, has no political undertone.

He said that the BIRS has embarked on a statewide exercise to recover taxes owed government from all corporate entities in the state.

Although the company has said it paid N38 million after reconciliation of its indebtedness, the revenue service said Oracle Business Limited owes N130 million in unpaid taxes and its officials had ignored invitations to come over for reconciliation.
