Borno Commissioner dies in his sleep
The Borno Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Ahmed Ali Ahmed, is dead.
Our reporter gathered from family sources that the commissioner died in his sleep in his Damboa Road House in Maiduguri.
The deceased was said to have exceeded the time he usually come out in the morning and his door was then forced open where his corpse was found.
Meanwhile, the Borno government has confirmed his death
“Borno State Government wishes to announce the death of Ahmed Ali Ahmed, the State Commissioner of Finance,” the state’s Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Prof. Usman Tar, said in a statement on Monday in Maiduguri.
Tar said that the burial had been slated for 5:00 p.m. today at the family house of the late commissioner in Damboa Road behind Indimi’s residence.
Gov. Babagana Zulum has lost two of his cabinet members within one year.
