BREAKING: 24-Hour Curfew Imposed On Kaduna, Zaria
The Kaduna State Security Council, led by Governor Uba Sani, has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Kaduna and Zaria metropolitan cities, effective immediately.
This decision comes after a review of the security situation in the state revealed that ongoing protests have been hijacked by criminal elements, resulting in looting and destruction of property.
According to a statement by Samuel Aruwan, Overseeing Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, citizens are advised to remain indoors as security forces work to maintain safety and security.
“The curfew will be continuously monitored, with reviews conducted as necessary.”
This development follows reports of protests in Kaduna and Zaria, with some demonstrators waving Russian flags and setting up bonfires.
The situation has escalated, prompting the state government to take decisive action to restore order.
