Breaking: Gunmen abduct Tsiga, Ex-NYSC DG
Gunmen have abducted a former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), retired Brigadier General Maharazu Isma’il Tsiga in the early hours of Thursday.
Sources said many gunmen on motorcycles stormed Tsiga village in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State from 12 midnight till about 3am, abducted the retired General and whisked him away to unknown destination.
It is not clear whether other villagers were abducted, but sources told The Syndicate that no one was killed, but some of the residents were injured.
Gunmen have in the last one week intensified attacks on communities in Kafur, Malumfashi and Bakori local government areas of the state, abducting residents and rustling livestock.
