Chikun/Kajuru Rep Member, Ekene Abubakar Adams, Is Dead
The member representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives has died in Abuja due to a protracted health challenge.
Ekene was confirmed dead early Tuesday morning by his wife.
The lawmaker was the Chairman House Committee on Sports, and had battled ill health in recent times.
The late politician was a former footballer, ex-General Manager of Kada City Football Club, and Remo Stars.
He won the House of Reps election under the Labour Party in 2023 after losing out to secure the ticket under the All Progressives Congress. He had also contested under the APC as Chairman of Chikun Local Government Council, Kaduna State.
