Customs Decorates Promoted Officers in Kaduna, Urges Hard Work

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Zone ‘B’ Kaduna, has decorated newly promoted officers, with a call for greater dedication and collaboration in their duties.
Comptroller Tijjani Abe, during the ceremony, urged the officers to prioritize harmonious working relationships with stakeholders, emphasizing that the command remains committed to achieving its revenue target and operational goals.
He also advised the newly promoted officers not to see themselves as superior to their colleagues who are yet to be promoted, encouraging others to remain diligent and strive for excellence.
Comptroller Abe appreciated the families of the officers for their support and congratulated the promoted officers, but said their elevation comes with greater responsibilities.
“To whom much is given, much is expected. You have earned this promotion, and it is time to raise the bar,” he added.
Representing Assistant Comptroller General Adekunle Oloyede, the Zonal Coordinator for Zone ‘B’, Comptroller Ahmadu Shuibu praised the dedication of the officers and reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to professionalism.
Among the officers decorated were Suleman Isa, Public Relations Officer of Zone B Federal Operations Unit, promoted to Chief Superintendent of Customs, Dikko Magaji, Public Relations Officer, Kaduna Zonal Office, promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Customs, and Ridwan Yusuf, Public Relations Officer, Kaduna Area Command, elevated to Chief Superintendent of Customs.
The ceremony, described as a day of celebration rather than lengthy speeches, also highlighted the accomplishments of the officers while motivating them for greater service delivery.
In his vote of thanks, the Public Relations Officer for Zone B, Suleiman Isa, expressed gratitude to the Comptrollers for their confidence in the promoted officers.
Suleiman who spoke on behalf of the newly promoted officers also appreciated Comptroller Tijjani Abe for his mentorship and guidance, pledging not to take the promotion for granted.
