Defence Minister Condoles Hadejia Emir Over Son’s Death

Minister of Defence, Alhaji Muhammed Badaru Abubakar on Sunday condoled the Emir of Hadejia in Jigawa State, Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Maje over the death of the traditional ruler’s son, Umar Faruk.
Badaru, who was the immediate past governor of the state, was received by a mammoth crowd to the city.
He expressed shock over the death, saying it was a great loss to the emirate and state.
“The death of a youth like Faruk is shocking and a great loss. We pray that Allah will grant him Aljantul Fiddus,” Badaru said.
Responding, the Emir thanked the minister for the visit, saying “this is a great honour to us for you to leave your commitment to visit and condole us. We are grateful”.
The minister also visited former Senator for Jigawa northeast, Senator Ubali Shitu, who lost his mother, Hajiya A’isha Idris Magama.
He was accompanied by the state deputy governor, Eng. Aminu Usman Gumel, APC state Chairman Aminu Sani Gumel, APC National Financial Secretary Bashir Usman, former Speaker Jigawa state House of Assembly, Idris Garba Jahun, legislators, local government officials and some APC stalwarts.
