El-Rufai Denies Defecting To PDP
Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has denied decamping to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and has threatened to take legal action against purveyors of the story.
El-Rufai, a strong member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, made the denial on his verified X page.
“Please disregard the patent lies and rumours about my political affiliation. I have referred the lead peddlers of the fake news for further action by my lawyers.”
Some online platforms and social media users had reported on Sunday that the former governor has picked a PDP membership card at his ward in Unguwar Sarki, Kaduna.
