FGC Sagamu students unveil robot `Kiki-Saggy’
The robot, named Okikiola-Sagamu A.K.A Kiki-Saggy was a vision of the school principal, Dr Muyibat Olodo, who has flair for technology, most especially, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
The school said that the robot was developed as part of efforts to introduce the students to AI, coding, machine learning and robotics, as motivation in choosing a career.
The permanent secretary commended the students and the school for the innovation and challenged others to bring out such innovations.
Earlier, the principal said she led the College’s Robotics Team consisting of some students and members of staff as coaches.
“Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Robotics are sowing good seeds in Federal Unity Colleges, and FGGC Sagamu has been known for many initiatives and innovations,” she added.
