FGN, KBSG collaborate to empower Youths, Others through YEIDEP Programme
The Federal Government, in collaboration with the Kebbi State Government, has launched an empowerment initiative under the Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development Programme (YEIDEP), aimed at empowering Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 35.
The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi, disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Friday.
According to him, each beneficiary of the programme will receive between N300,000 and N500,000 as support to boost their entrepreneurial ventures.
He said to ease access and participation, the Kebbi State Government has established nine free online registration centres across all 21 Local Government Areas of the state to facilitate a smooth and timely registration process.
The designated centres are
Birnin Kebbi at the Birnin Kebbi Local Government Secretariat,
Kalgo and Bunza at Kalgo Local Government Secretariat,
Argungu and Augie at Argungu Local Government Secretariat, and Arewa and Dandi at Dandi Local Government Secretariat.
Others are Yauri, Shanga, and Ngaski at Yauri Local Government Secretariat, Koko, Besse, and Maiyama at Maiyama Local Government Secretariat, Zuru, Fakai, and Sakaba at Zuru Local Government Secretariat, Aliero, Gwandu, and Jega at Aliero Local Government Secretariat, and Bagudo and Suru at Dakingari Local Government Secretariat.
The Commissioner encouraged all qualified and interested Kebbi State indigenes to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance their livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to the economic growth of the state.
