Gov Yusuf launches construction of 5km Road in Ghari LGA
Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State on Saturday launched the construction of a 5-kilometre road in Kunchi town in Ghari Local Government Area of the state.
This is contained in a statement by his spokesperson, Malam Sanusi Bature on Saturday in Kano.
Bature said that the governor said that the project was initiated during the second tenure of Sen. Rabi’u Kwankwaso to develop rural communities, but was abandoned by the immediate past administration in the state.
Yusuf commended the people of the area for their patience, support, and cooperation, and instructed the contractor handling the project to fully mobilize to the site within one week.
He warned that failure to do so would compel the government to terminate the contract.
Before launching the 5-kilometre road project,the governor who was accompanied by his Deputy, Malam Aminu Gwarzo, and other members of the State Executive Council, commissioned a township road in Yandadi town.
The governor and his entourage also inspected the Kano State College of Education and Preliminary Studies, Ghari.
Yusuf assured the people of the state of his Government’s readiness to provide all necessary infrastructure to ensure that academic activities at the College continue without interruption.
